The grates in our range are divided into…
Standing grates
The undoubted advantage of standing grates is that by separating the embers from the base of the fireplace, there is a continuous access of air, which improves the burning of wood.
In addition, thanks to the protection on the front of the grate, you will avoid the situation in which the wood falls on the glass!
The four basic models of standing grates are:
- grate with one rim
- grate with a decorative flat bar
- grate with two rims and handles
- grate with two rims, handles and an ash pan
We can make a grate of any size!
We can make any standing grate in a version with an ash pan.
Flat grates
A fireplace or barbecue grate as you need, with any and with the spacing, shape of the holes of your choice. As well as in any size.
Available thicknesses from 3 to 200 mm.
The grate is made of boiler steel or stainless steel, with a heat resistance of up to 900°C. The highest quality product you can fully customise to your needs. You can choose the type, spacing and dimensions of the holes, as well as the size, shape and thickness of the grate itself. Thanks to the latest technological solutions, we can make a grate of any type in a relatively short time. Boiler steel prevents or possibly reduces the time of deformation and fatigue of the element, which is exposed to high temperatures during operation, which ensures long life and high durability.
If you can't find the grate you need in our store, please contact us. We will make any individual order.
The grate is a basic element that must be in every fireplace. Its functions primarily include:
Improving even combustion
The grate allows air to reach the firebox and allows the ashes to fall freely, so that the supply of oxygen is not cut off.
Improving the thorough cleaning of the chamber
It is thanks to the grate in the fireplace that the fuel has a chance to burn to the very end. This results in an empty chamber that is easy to clean just by removing the ash from it.
Increasing the efficiency of combustion in fireplaces without an ash pan
If you have such a model of fireplace, the flow of air in it is impeded, and the ash has no chance to collect below the burning fuel. Therefore, the presence of a grate (necessarily on an elevation) will facilitate combustion in such a fireplace.
WE HAVE ALL KINDS AND TYPES OF GRATES IN OUR OFFER!
When selecting a grate for a fireplace, it is important to remember that its size should not be too well matched to the walls, as this may contribute to its breakage or to the destruction of the fireplace. This is because the grate expands under the influence of temperature. For this reason, we recommend that you maintain a 5 mm clearance from the dimensions of the fireplace chamber.
